I read an article/opinion piece stating Rush Limbaugh should apologize to the President over a hoax last week.  It seems that Rush reported and opined on information about the President's thesis from college.  It turned out to be a hoax. It was caught during the same show.  Rush immediately announced it.  He admitted his error and corrected the hoax. 

I have rarely seen or heard any media outlet apologize for any of their egregious errors.  They have corrected them- in fine print buried on page 107 or at 3am.  Not the NYT, Time, Newsweek, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, CPB, CNN, MSNBC, or any others.  Oh, certain entertainers such as Matthews, have apologized after threats by the Clintons.  But apologies for mistakes, rumors as fact, hoaxes, et al are rare as hens teeth.  Why should Rush apologize?

To show he is above the entertainment media and comedy networks posing as journalists.  To show he has character.  To prove he has integrity.  Unlike they do.  Does he owe an apology to the President?  Get serious.  Only a brain dead true cult believer would think that.  No he does not owe an apology.  But, an apology would make all the others look worse than they are already.  He would stand head and shoulders above them.  They would look like the grovelling, supercilious, psychophants that they are; using Preparation H for lip gloss.   

Health care reform?  There is no such thing.  Not in this congress and not with this president.  There is no health care reform bill.  There is a health insurance bill.  Health care will not be reformed.  There is nothing in the bill to allow the building of new medical schools- not one has been built for about twenty five or thirty years.  There is nothing about tort reform.  There is nothing about reducing management and administrative costs- up to forty percent of the bills.  There is nothing about doctors being allowed to make a profit from their services.  There is nopthing about how hospitals can profit.  There is nothing about reducing the administrative costs to doctors in private practice.  Health care is a business.  The purpose of all business- not the reason, the purpose- is to make a profit.  Preferably, a maximum profit at a minimum cost.  Administrative and management costs are eating up most profits of doctors and hospitals.  BTW, doctors who refuse to accept insurance are reporting higher profits with less patient loads than those who accept insurance.  There definitely is something worng here. 

There is nothing about people having the right to any treatment, anytime, and in any hospital or clinic of their choice- like the Congress critters and Senate saps.  They are the servants of the people.  They should have whatever is worse than Medicare as their insurance.  But they will still have the Rolls Royce of insurance.  We will get the bus pass. 

Health care refrm sould include reforming the whole health care system.  Out government liars only want to control health insurance.  Or I should say death insurance. 

This bill must be defeated.  Right now doing nothing is way preferable than allowing this government to support the Funeral Industry.

Over the weekend the Administration committed to open warfare against Fox News and certain commentators.  David Axelrod made one of the most ludicrous statements.  He claimed that Fox News was only interested in making money.  First and foremost, what is wrong with making money?  The media is in the information business.  Fox News, like all media outlets, is a business.  Businesses are supposed to make money.  That is their reason for existence.  If not, why are there ads in print media and the internet- and pesky annoying commercials on television and radio.  Rahm Emanuel made some other statements questioning whether Fox News and others were legitimate news organizations.  Please define legitimate news organization Mr. Emanuel?

This is a war the Administration cannot win.  What are they going to do when something goes wrong and the rest of the media criticizes them?  Turns on them.  What if there is a scandal?  What if the economy or the wars turn really ugly?  What are they going to do when some of their base starts criticizing?  What are they going to do when some members of their own party start to turn and the media reports this.  Are they going to turn on the rest of the media, except for the lapdogs and admirers?  

What is wrong with criticism anyway?  I find it appalling that members of the government would attack free press and freedom of expression.  Government officials have a constitutional responsibility and a moral obligation to treat all media in a neutral fashion.  If you win an election criticism, satire, ridicule, and compliments are all part and parcel of the job.  You do not take it personally.  This is not  grammar school playground.  Your self esteem is meaningless.

Fox news- for good or bad- is not the issue.  Neither is Rush Limbaugh, the Insurance industry, Glen Beck, the US Chamber of Commerce, Sean Hannity, some disgruntled members of organized labor, or others.  The issue is we, the people, have a right to criticize, complain, object, and opine; no matter how far fetched the opinions are.  It is our right.  Members of government have no right to criticize our actions, words, or expressions.  They have no right to demean and debase.  They have no right to verbally abuse.  They have a right, a duty, and, especially, an obligation to complain and to correct.  The administration better remember something.  They are servants of the people.  Not masters.  They do not dictate to us.  We dictate to them.  

Helen Thomas, the famous White House Correspondent, has even come out against the administration by warning them not to pick this fight.  The media today has become an arm of the Democrat Party.  It agrees with their positions a vast majority of the time, never criticizes, does not ask the probing questions, and even refuses to ask the simple ones.  The reason?  Access.  The Democratic power houses would cut off access to the media.  This in turn would cut off their information.  WIthout information, especially inside information, they would not be able to make money.  You see, all media are in it for the money.  Even the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

As Ms. Thomas has stated in the past, the media is “failing to fulfill what is arguably their most vital role in contemporary American life- to be the watchdogs of Democracy.”  The fail to ask questions and probe for the truth- not the agenda or pre-formed opinions.  Not access.  The truth.  The media, in Ms. Thomas words, have “become subdued, compromised lapdogs.”

The President and his minions must stop this ridiculous war before it becomes dangerous.  The President is supposed to be beyond pettiness.  If he does not like the opinions, respond to them with facts.  Correct them with truth.  This is not community organizing or Saul Alinsky 101.

This petty warfare is disgusting, despicable, deplorable, and it demeans the Office if the President.  The President is not just a person.  It is an office.  It is a position of privilege and honor.  It is a position of high respect.  This administration is lowering itself through the personality cult surrounding the President.  It is time for the President to act presidential.  It is time to show he is above the fray.  It is also time for him to lead.  Leaders take the criticism with the same aplomb as they do the credit.  

BTW, Fox News ratings are going through the roof while other media outlets are losing.  Fox News is profitable.  Others are bleeding red ink.  Is there a lesson here?  This is America.  We are a free people.  We get to criticize the government without being put on enemies lists or watch lists.  Industry gets to criticize without the threat of retributive legislation being threatened.  Free Press is just that.  Free.  Free expression is just that.  Free.  You don’t have to like it, you just have to abide by it.

BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!  Fox news is only interested in making money.  That is according to Daved Axelrod, the Obama Administrations Karl Rove.  Also Rham Emanual, the very wealthy ballet dancer whose deca-millions are tax sheltered.  I guess CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and all the rest are non-profit organizations whose mission is to do good and forgo profits.  Are they charitable organizations whose commercials are free?  They run commercials for the good of the public? 

All media organizations main goal is to make money.  Fox is just better at it.  They have a better business model and listen to their consumers- the viewers and advertisers.  Maybe the other stations should revise their business models so they can compete.  Maybe Axelrod and Emanual should stop creating enemies lists.  Axelrod is Obama's Karl Rove.  Emanual is his Goebbels.  Unlike the rest, who do what the want and complain when they lose money.

Media is a business.  The purpose of all business is profit.  Maximum profit and minimum cost.  Maybe Axelrod and Emanual should stop being hypocrites.  They are both multi-millionaires.  The only reason they went into politics was to make money.

AL SHARPTON TO SUE RUSH LIMBAUGH.

This ought to be good.  An infamous virulent racist, inciter of riots, a libelous slanderer, an extortionist, an associate of organized crime, and a host of other infamous deeds is suing because his character was besmirched by Rush Limbaugh.  Rush Limbaugh defamed Reverend Al by telling the truth about him in a Wall Street Journal OP-Ed piece.

If Al's reputation is less than zero, what damages can he actually sue for?

WHY IS KEITH OLBERMAN STILL ON THE AIR?

Before becoming a political pundit, Michelle Malkin- love her or hate her- was a real working journalist.  Keith Olbermann was a baseball collector who became a sports announcer.  He did such a poor job that he was fired.  Michelle Malkin actually reported the news- you know got the facts, checked them, submitted stories.  Olbermann, well, he collected baseball cards.

Mr. Olbermann’s attack on Ms. Malkin displays a severe mentally deranged personality.  The attack was  verbal violence.  It was intended to incite hatred.  I would bet that if some pundit attacked Olbermann in the same manner the police would be called to investigate.  Mr. Olbermann is a main proponent of hate speech.  He may have the right to say it, but why should we be victimized? 

Keith Olbermann displays the worst of political punditry.  He is a yellow journalist- I use the term journalist very lightly- and a muckraker.  He is a scum sucker.  He is the ooze at the bottom of the journalistic swamp.  If swamp gas could be used for power, Olbermann could generate enough to light up a small city.  His personal attacks on people are vicious, inflammatory, mean spirited, violent, and senseless.  There are no facts behind his unabashed hatred of people.  There is no reason.

Mr. Olbermann has no ethics, no integrity, no shame, and displays a level of hatred and dishonesty that rubs off on his network. 
It is time for NBC and General Electric to fire Mr. Olbermann.  It is time that he be relegated to the trash heap of history.  Mr. Olbermmann is nothing more than a rabid attack dog whose time has come.  He should be taken off the air permanently so he can stop creating misery.

If anyone displays fascistic hatred, it is Olbermann.  Actually, watching him and old speeches of Adolph Hitler, I can see similarities.  Hmmmm?  I wonder when he is going to write his Mein Kampf?
 

President Obama has stated that the government cannot afford to give senior citizens on Social Security a COLA raise next year.  His proposal, give them a $250.00 check.  That comes to about .68 cents per day.  He claims there is no money.

Here is the big lie.  Since 1965 every President and session of Congress has raided the Social Security fund to pay for the financing of failures.  Lyndon B. Johnson stated that Social Security was not a protected fund and was government money.  He transferred massive amounts of money from the Social Security surplus to fund his failure- the Great Society welfare fraud program.  The famous War on Poverty which proved to be nothing more than a war on poor people.

Since then, every time Social Security has run a surplus either the President or the legislature has raided it to finance failures.  Clinton raided Social Security to “balance the budget” in a brazen act of voodoo accounting.

The Federal Government will never be able to afford to pay back the money they have stolen from Social Security.  The government has been lying to the people for over forty years with predictions that Social Security is going broke due to costs and benefits.  Social Security is going broke due to our government stealing the money.  The retiring baby boomers will not break Social Security.  The government has already done that.

I thought Barak Obama ran on a platform of hope and change.  I thought he promised to run an honest government.  Why is he lying to the American people, especially senior citizens?  Why does he only want to give them 68 cents a day?  Why are we paying into a Social Security Fund that is used for everything and anything the government wants to waste money on.

Health care reform?  You trust this government with health care?  It is time for Social Security reform.  It is time for middle aged people and seniors to wake up, organize, and demand that all Social Security Taxes only fund Social Security and Medicare.  It is time they demand a law be passed forbidding the President or the legislature from raiding Social Security.  It is time to demand that every penny that the government stole be paid back.

Hope and Change.  Hope things stay the same so they don’t have to change.

It is not bad enough when so called journalists in the entertainment industry are bias.  But when they make up lies to smear, slander, libel, and defame a person they have gone too far.  

I do not care if you love or hate Rush Limbaugh.  He is part of a group looking to purchase the St. Louis Rams.  Since this came out entertainers at all the major media outlets have been quoting things he never said.  It is funny- they have never actually played one sound bite of him making these so called racist comments.  Not one recording.  They do not exist.  He never said what they are accusing him of saying.  Worse, one of the Circus Bears in the House of Representatives actually took to the floor and gave a speech against Rush buying the team- using the same quotes.  The quotes no one can prove were ever made.

We are living in sad times.  Our government is shutting down all criticism of it.  People are allowed to go on the airwaves and tell outright lies.  Even the White house spokes comedians are now lying and trying to debase Fox News.

The Obama administration and his Democrat Masters in the House and Senate will be remembered for one thing- the return of Yellow Journalism. 

Dear Mr. Imelt and Shareholders,

It is time for you to seriously consider removing Keith Olbermann from MSNBC.  Mr. Olbermann's behavior is deplorable.  His show borders on hate speech.  He is vitriolic, spiteful, malicious, evil, rude, inconsiderate,and rabid.  Advocating educated opinions with passion and intelligence is one thing.  Attacking people with facts is one thing.  Mr. Olbermann does neither. 

Mr. Olbermann's attacks are neither factual, educated nor intelligent.  His attacks are personal, purely personal.  He uses rumor and innuendo disguised as journalism.  It is nothing but hate filled propaganda of the lowest form.  His only passion is hatred.  This man has never been a serious journalist and never will be.  A journalistic intern has more sense than Mr. Olbermann.  He has no ethics, no honesty, no civility, no shame, and no integrity.  He is an irresponsible loose cannon.

I seriously believe there is something wrong with this man.  He may need professional help.  No one can be so hate filled, so spiteful, so demeaning, and so verbally abusive and be a normal human being.

Mr. Olbermann does grave damage to the marque that is NBC and thus General Electric.  He also does grave damage to the news business of NBC.  It is time for him to go before he actually causes real harm.  He is the type would never take responsibility or apologize either.  He is doing more damage than good.  His type of damage is irreparable.

Remember the Seinfeld Show?  A little show about nothing?  The Obama Administration is shaping itself up to be a little administration about nothing.

Obama made many promises while he was running for election.  After the election he made the same promises while running for election.  Here are some of the things he failed to do- based up[on his promises:
 
The wars are still being fought and people on both sides are dying.  Nothing done. 
The economy is still in a shambles.  Nothing accomplished. 
The world went from supposedly hating us to laughing at us.  Nothing achieved.
Homes are still being foreclosed on.  Nothing done.
Free speech and expression is being stifled.  Nothing done.
DADT is still the law.  Nothing done.
Some Democrats need his support to win elections.  He does nothing for them.

Obama made and is still making promises.  He is still running for election.  He is doing nothing.  Zero, zip, nada.

Someone should tell him that he is expected to do a modicum of work as President.  Being President is not like being on welfare or living off of student loans and grants.  You are actually expected to do something besides walk the dog, play basketball, go on comedy talk shows, and drink beer with cops and professors. 

Since the standards for the Nobel Peace Prize have been drastically lowered, I am offering my personal nominations for next years prizes:

David Letterman should get the Nobel Piece Prize for internship.
Hillary Clinton should get the Nobel Peace Prize for staying married to Bill.
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi should get the Nobel Literature Prize for the health care bill- a wonderful work of noir fiction.
Ted Kennedy should get one of the science prizes- post humonusly- for defying all the laws of science and outliving his uselessness.
Joe Biden should get one of the science prizes as living proof that there is the existence of zero intelligence.

First, though I did not vote for Obama and I do not agree with his policies, it is only right to offer congratulations on his being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.   He is, for better or worse, the President of the United States- our president.  Whether we like it or not, agree with it or not, even detest him or not.  

Having said that, it makes me wonder just what in the world those people in Oslo have been drinking or smoking?  It wasn't bad enough when they gave the prize to the terrorist Arafat.  It wasn't worse when they gave it to Gore for- what did they give to Gore for?  Giving it to Carter was just high comedy.   

President Obama is waging two wars.  Americans, Afghans, and Iraqis are still being killed.  The Middle East is in just as much turmoil now as before he was elected- more so, since his party's anti-Israel policies have damaged relations with Israel.  In effect, he has done nothing to promote, defend, or bring about world peace.  Oh, he has given a few good speeches and all that- but no actions.  At home, he and his party are stifling free speech on a daily basis.  Elected officials who have sworn to uphold the Constitution are violating the rights to free speech and expression on a daily basis with no reprecussions.  They are denigrating, debasing, abusing, and humiliating any critics of their policies.  This is becoming China without the guns and arrests.

So why did he get the Peace Prize?

According to the article and an interview with Limbaugh, Rush and a partner have put a bid in to buy the St. Louis Rams.  Hmmmm.  Will the Administration try to stop this?  Will Harry Reid, the bane of freedom or Nancy Pelosi, the real POTUS try to pass a law to stop Rush?

Are the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan over?  I do not see any protests?  Where is Code Pink?  Where have all the anti-war people gone?  Obama is now the President.  These are now his wars.  I see no protests against the so called unpopular wars.  He has not brought the troops home and we are still killing and bombing over there.  So where are the protesters?  I have not seen a Code Pink person or anyother protester being dragged out of an Obama Rally or any other Democratic Rally.  I have not heard one peep from Pelosi or Reid.  I guess now that they own the wars all must be silent.  Does anyone else smell the stench of hypocrisy?

I guess they only protest Republicans and Republican wars.  The Obama wars gets a free ride.  For now.

There is only one way to solve the health care problem that has been created by our lovable iconic politicians.  Subject the House and the Senate to the same type of health care they want us to have.  Better yet, put them under the auspices of Medicare.  Folks, the House and the Senate have the Rolls Royce of health care insurance.  Any doctor, any hospital, any clinic, any experimental treatment, any place in the world.  If they get deathly ill their coverage allows them to be kept alive as long as possible.  All of it financed on our dime- the tax payers.  Why?

I would bet that Pelosi and Reid would foam at the mouth in rabid anger if they were subject to ordinary health care insurance.  I pay for mine.  It is good insurance- not great.  It is expensive  I cannot go to Mayo Clinic or Sloane Kettering.  They can- on our dime.  I cannot get experimental treatments.  They can.  I cannot go to the doctor of my choice with out paying a penalty.  I cannot go to the hospital of my choice without paying a penalty.  I have a million dollar cap- peanuts for catastrophic diseases.  They can do all of that and more.  They have no caps.  Amazing.  The servants have become the masters and dictators.  They are the zoo keepers and we get the peanuts.

They are the servants of the people.  Why do the servants get the Rolls Royce and the people they serve get a bus pass?  You, the people, the voters, should write and email to your Congressmen and Senators demanding that they be subject to the same insurance they are proposing.  I think the Medicare option is the best for them.  Let them see what government health care is really like.  Of course most of you will not do this.  You are too concerned with hatred and bashing instead of effective politics.

This is what they want.  If they can keep you hating and polarized they can create the greatest parlor tricks in the world and you will never see them coming.  Until it is too late.  We are fast becoming a people of the government, by the government, and for the government.
